Schlange und Apfel verbinden sich lustvoll schön in Bildern, die in schöpferischen Vorstellungen von Kunstgeschichte überliefert werden. Meist mit keusch bedeckter Nacktheit. Wie und wo sehen wir die Schlange heute? Paradiesisch? Tierschützend und Klima-Aktiv? Wer ist dieses „wir“, das da schaut? Der Ökonom Mark Hanna: „Sie ist Feenstaub. Sie existiert nicht. Sie ist egal. Sie ist verdammt nochmal nicht echt.“ Dennoch war und bleibt sie gefährlich: Die Ausstellung „Don’t pee on the snake in the dark” rettet uns durch das einfachste aller Mittel: Geld. Viel Geld.

Snake and apple combine pleasurably beautiful in images that are passed down in ideas of art history on creation. Mostly with chastely covered nudity. How and where do we see the snake today? Edenic? Animal-protective and climate-active? Who is this “us” looking? Economist Mark Hanna: "It is fairy dust. It doesn't exist. It doesn't matter. It's not fucking real." Yet it was and remains dangerous: the exhibition „Don’t pee on the snake in the dark” saves us by the simplest of means: money. Lots of money!
